Yesterday, I saw Compass fly a complete lap from the roof around the three trees and back to the roof again. I'm glad that I got to see it because I just walked outside to see if he was on the roof and.... no sign of him. I sort of expected he'd attempt to fly home at some point, but wasn't sure how up to it he felt. I asked my husband to drive to the overpass where he found him and see if he's there. After all, his landing and aim need some work due to handicap wing and if he misses his mark he could easily land in the street again. I do feel a bit emotional, not that I wish he were here instead of w/ his family but I just wish I knew for sure that he was okay or actually saw him fly off. *sigh* My husband just called to say there are about 12 pigeons under the overpass. I may drive down and see if any of them are Compass. Thanks for asking, thus you are the first to know of his return home! Omg… it’s time for a new post.
